DIRECTIONS TO ALTAVISTA RIVER PARK 29S towards Danville. 20 miles south of the Lynchburg Airport, you will begin to see Altavista exits. Take the 4th Altavista exit, (Rt. 43/Bedford Ave.) Left at the top of the exit. Stay straight on Bedford Ave. for about 3 miles until you come to a light (McDonalds on left). Go through the first light and take a left at the second light on Main St. Go through one light on Main St. then take a right at the second light on to Pittsylvania Ave. Go less than one mile, cross the railroad tracks, the entrance to the park is on the right |
